Fit & Compatibility

Below are some common questions about fit & compatibility. See full product page

Will Orca Fins fit my board?

Orca Fins are designed for most twin-tip kiteboards that use standard 38 mm fin spacing and M5 or M6 holes. They mount heel-side only(two fins total). If your board has standard inserts, you’re good to go.
F-one have their own system and is not fitting without a adapter. Feel free to contact us to ask for a adapter.

Do I need a specific size or model?

One size fits all! Orca Fins come as a single performance set optimized for Big Air and freeride control across most twin-tips. No sizing decision needed — just mount and ride. The Orca fin is 50mm deep

How many ORCA fin sets do I need to order

One set for one board. You just need the ORCA fin on the heelside

Performance & Riding of the ORCA fin

How does the ORCA fin feels

What’s the main difference vs stock fins?

Stock fins mostly stabilize tracking.Orca Fins are engineered to perform: The dual-radii curved profile anda ngled surface generate downforce, improving grip, control, and jump height—especially in chop and strong wind.

How quickly will I feel the difference?

You will feel it on the first tack: stronger edge hold, smoother approach speed, and a more confident, vertical release off the water.

Are Orca Fins only for Big Air?

Big Air is where the gains are most obvious, but the added grip and stability benefit freeride and general twin-tip riding as well—smoother landings, better upwind, and more flow between tricks.

Do they work in choppy water?

Yes—that’s a key advantage. The extra downforce helpsquiet the board in chop, so you can keep speed and line without skipping out.

Can they handle ground contact?

With the ORCA fin you get a performance fin, tread it like that! Ground contact (sandbars, rocks, reef) can cause scratches or chips. Orca Fins are built for on-water performance, not abrasion. We recommend to avoiding shallow contact to keep them fast and clean.

Do they feel like riding on a rail track?

No. one of the biggest goals was to offer a neutral feeling. You’ll get more bite and hold on the heel-side, but the board still feels free and agile. Carving remains smooth and playful. The big difference is that edge switches (heel→toe→heel) feel more deliberate—you can load harder, but you’ll apply slightly more input when swapping edges at speed.

Do they help with landings?

The same grip that improves take-off helps with leveled, predictable landings, so you can ride away cleaner and feel more stable and safer.
